Overview

The Banking Sector Cybersecurity Operations Centre (BS-SOC), is a section within CFU division of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK). It is established under Section 11 of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrime Act Regulations, 2024, as the central hub for cybersecurity within the banking sector. BS-SOC is dedicated to monitoring, detecting, preventing, responding to, and investigating cyber threats that target financial institutions.

Our Mandate

BS-SOC is committed to safeguarding the critical information infrastructure of institutions regulated by CBK. Our core functions include:

Identifying and analyzing potential cyber threats.

 Swiftly addressing cybersecurity incidents to minimize impact.
